His Love Flows to the Lowest Valley Journal Page

Page1
I am so thankful that God's love flows to the lowest valley.  My journal pages often reflect song lyrics that are speaking to me.
Page 2
This page uses layers of paint, book pages, hymnal pages, and stamping, along with journaling.

 Highlighting pages of the hymn.
Page 4
Stamping mixed with washi tape for layers.
Page 5
Old labels.  Flower scribble stamp by Stampington and lace stamp by Penny Black.  Not sure who made the dandelion stamp...

I can't tell you enough how much I love using these file folders for journal pages!  Still haven't decided how I will bind them, but for now love the flexibility of working on them flat.  Thanks for stopping by!

The Love of God in Christ Jesus Card

card 1
I'm so thankful that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!  This beautiful calligraphy stamp is by Stamp A Mania.  To create this card I cut out the scalloped label from a Spellbinders die.  I then applied the inks pictured below to my craft mat (or wax paper) and spritzed them with water.  I laid the paper and die over the ink wash to pick up the color and then heat set to dry.
ink
FiberScraps Walnut Ink Tintz are one of my favorite products.  The colors are simply WONDERFUL and they are much easier to use for this technique than other products on the market.  Unfortunately they are not readily available on the internet, but some LSS may still sell them.  You can get a similar look by brushing Distress Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritzing with water.
card 2
I made this card for the Stamping Sensations June 2015 Challenge, Dies & Punches, found HERE.  The rest of the dies are by Tim Holtz.  The honeycomb stamp is by Stamper's Anonymous.  I stamped it in olive chalk ink.
card 3
I cut the sea critters out with scrapbook paper and put them in the ink bath too.
card 4
I distressed the edges of the card with the Distress tool.
card 5
Oh to have the skills to create such beautiful calligraphy!
card 6
I tore some of my DIY tattered and dyed ribbon, tutorial HERE, in half to make super skinny ribbon, to which I also gave a wash bath.  Here it reminded me of cheesecloth, or fishing net.
card 6
I was really pleased with this card and just played until it came together, never with the intention of making a sea themed card!  But thought the depths of the sea appropriate here, when we are reminded that neither height nor depth can separate us from the God's love!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Butterfly Wings Card for Penny Black June 2015 Challenge

Card1
My butterfly wings card for the June 2015 Penny Black Wings Challenge (HERE) came together quite nicely with the K&Co. butterfly paper and Martha Stewart punches.  I was going to use a different Penny Black stamp (and not this one by Stampin' Up!), but had left it at my Mother's!  Bummer!  But the deadline was today and I went ahead with it.
Card2
I curled the butterfly wings with my bone folder, a flower making technique that I've found to work great with making cut out images stand out.
card3
I colored the butterfly with markers and a watercolor wash.
card4
These punch sets are great!  I found the entire set for $6 at my local Tuesday Morning.  WOW!  I'm really enjoying them.  The package comes with measurements for creating a seamless edge, like I've done here.
card5
Penny Black have been a favorite stamp company of mine for many years.  I particularly love their solid stamps and use them with markers and a fine mist to create a watercolor effect.  Thanks for visiting and wish me luck!  I would love to win some of their new designs.  :)

Birds Three Fold Tag Holder Mini

Mini 1
I created this little three fold mini album while while visiting with my friend from Texas last weekend.  We wanted a simple and fun little project to do with a group of girls and this is definitely a stress-free little project.  I posted my first three-fold mini album HERE with the full tutorial.  A big shout-out to our friend Nancy for having us girls in her home!  Thanks Nancy!  It was wonderful!
MMMC Link
I'm entering in the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge blog HERE.  I chose theme #10, Birds of a Feather.  This theme reminded me of my group of artsy friends that have stayed close no matter how far apart we are in the world.  It also was an opportunity to use some favorite bird stamps.
Mini2
The base is made from Authentique textured 2-sided scrapbook paper.  I just love the leaf print on this sheet!  The bird on the left is by Character Constructions and the bird on the right by Dina Wakely for Ranger.  The butterfly die is by Sizzix.
Mini3
Flower closeup.  Gessoed flower using Tattered Florals and Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
Mini4
Here's a closeup with the tags removed.
Mini5
I love this girl, I think she's by Paperbag Studios.  Sweet little pouty face!
Mini6
Use this birds on a wire stamp all the time.
Mini7
Create the world you want to see.  Can you see that awesome little key brad on the right?
Mini8
 All of the tag inserts...
Mini 9
I just adore stamping these birds on book pages.
Mini 10
The punch at the bottom is by Martha Stewart.  That's a rub on in the middle.
Mini 11
I just got these new Tim Holtz dies and am loving them!
Mini 12
All the pretty tags in a row...
Mini 13
And there you have it!  Wish me luck, as this is my first submission to MMMC.

Red Poppies Card

I'm linking up this red poppies card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog HERE.
These cards were stamped with Donna Downey's poppy stamps in red chalk ink, best ink ever!  I layered them onto Prima's Stationers Desk papers with my favorite paper ribbon technique and a bit of polka dot washi tape.  These cards were a breeze to whip out and I really loved working with this paper line.  Wish me luck!

Tim Holtz June 2015 Tag

TAg1

My entry for Tim's June 2015 tag inspiration. Although I loved the background Tim created this month, I decided to go with a plaid stamp by Paper Inspiration and didn't press it fully to get the cut off look.  I stamped it in Peeled Paint and then Peacock and sponged the background in Vintage Photo.
Tag2
For the bow I used my DIY tattered dyed ribbon, tutorial HERE.  I pulled two small sections of ribbon through the hole and looped them once, but then tied the bow in two different sections to create this loopy, fluffy bow.
Tag3
To create my cup I used the pattern found HERE.  Thanks so much, Olivia!  I used aqua burlap paper and sponged it with Peeled Paint.  The banner stamp was a clearance find, don't know who made it.
Tag4
I finished the tag with Tim's new celebrations thinlets die and brown cardstock behind it.  Thanks so much for stopping by and wish me luck on the drawing!  I'm linking up on Tim's blog HERE.
